Professional experience
He has been practicing since 2002. Jorge’s main areas of practice are securities market law, insurance law, and mergers and acquisitions. He was legal advisor to the National Securities Commission (now Securities Market Superintendency) in 2002, and from 2004 to 2008; he was an independent lawyer engaged in commercial matters and those related to financial market law from 2008 to 2010. He has been a professor of Commercial Law in the bachelor’s degree and a professor of Securities Law in the master’s degree. He was a member of the Board of Directors of the Panamanian Institute of Corporate Governance.
